TOP TIPS

  1. Decide what space you have to use BEFORE your shoot, send me over a picture of your room/wall in good light - I can use this to create you some mock-ups!
  2. Go with your gut and choose the image that really speaks to you. The MUST-have. Use this as a starting point to create your collection.
  3. Consider the outside portraits looking inwards (I can flip them for you!) - this composition theory often looks best, as a face looking towards the outside draws your eyes away from the middle. You want to keep your collection feeling balanced.
  4. Go big and you won't regret it. Most peoples instinct is to purchase small frames, but when you hold a 16" frame up to a big wall, it often looks lost and lacks impact - The best portraits are the ones that own a room and stop people in their tracks - Don't forget that when you're looking at a frame in your hand, it is a close viewing distance, but do you want to have to squint and get close up to your wall to see the details, or do you want to enjoy it when relaxing?
