This is my chosen location for XL portraits, and it really is a unique space which we can book in the evening golden hour for beautiful results.

Capturing the sweetest side of your velvet-nosed muscle monster became an increasingly difficult challenge for owners after 2023, and many of you turned to secure fields to allow your big friendly giants freedom to enjoy their walks without the restrictions.

I have worked closely with several dog fields around Manchester & Cheshire for both their promotional content and to connect with their users . As a specialist photographer in reactive and nervous pets, I see how much freedom and peace of mind these designated spaces offer for many owners, not just Bully Breeds.

So, to show off these exclusive galleries, here is Luna, showing us what she's made of on a very windy February afternoon at Longdendale - The Dog's Paddocks.

The woodlands here look MAGICAL during the autumn, but the foliage and light is fabulous throughout the year, allowing for versatility and creativity with the dreamy backgrounds that many other open grassland fields lack.
The field hosts a double gated entrance, water bowls, agility equipment, sand pits, and half of the field is shaded by forest trees, with mossy undergrowth & ivy covered logs to hop on for posing whimsically.

At the same location, we also have a rather bittersweet session with reactive rottweiler, Russ, who had sadly been suffering with pain and a worsening bone cancer diagnoses. His owners wanted desperately to capture some special memories with him before he deteriorated further but needed to keep the environment calm for him.

Both of these sessions started out on my strong, 10 meter leads (simply photoshopped out afterwards) to ensure safety and comfort for all involved, and I was distanced away from them with a portrait lens. This ensured that their owners can enjoy the experience without worry, and my fur-models have their boundaries and comfort zones well respected....

although by the end of the session both dogs were completely unphased by my presence and happy to accept treats and well wishes from me - a great reflection of their modelling experiences along with their heartfelt final portraits.
